Spread the love

Ash Oakley
Our band is blowing up. But I need a break—to surf, to breathe, to quiet the restlessness inside me. Then I met him. The stunning stranger next door. He’s hurting. I see it in his eyes and the way he carries himself like he’s drowning in something too heavy to bear. He’s always at the beach, but he pushes me away when I get close. When he finally lets me in, I realize his pain echoes my past. I know that darkness. I survived it. I want to help him. But I never expected to fall this hard. And now I don’t know if I’m saving him, or if he’s saving me.

Micah Knowles
I came here to disappear and forget. To heal from the wreckage of my life. Then he shows up—Ash Oakley, rockstar, golden boy, too damn persistent for his good. He keeps trying to break through my walls with his easy grin and restless energy like he sees something in me worth saving. He says he understands. I want to believe him. And maybe I desire him more than I should.

In the first book in The Swarm series, we meet Ash, the lead singer of a rising rock band, who finds himself compelled to help a broken young man named Micah. Set against a backdrop of music and healing, the story unfolds on a beach, where Ash’s deep sense of empathy leads him to Micah, a talented software engineer scarred by a tragic incident.

Micah’s journey consists of grappling with a past that haunts him. He feels unworthy of love and healing. As Ash strives to lift Micah from his despair, readers witness their evolving relationship’s raw and vulnerable nature. Both young men have faced the specter of death, which shapes their perspectives on life and connection.

The intertwining stories highlight their struggles and triumphs, making it a joy for the readers to invest in their journeys. The emotional dynamics and the healing process play out vividly, setting the stage for personal growth.

The first in this duology of the Swarm series promises a captivating exploration of love, hope, and the search for healing within oneself and others. Readers can look forward to engaging with these characters as their stories unfold, welcoming the inevitable sequel with anticipation.

Christie Gordon PortraitAbout The Author

Christie Gordon started writing gay and MM romance books after accidentally finding Yaoi fanfiction and falling in love with it. I’ve always had stories in my head and enjoyed writing, so I decided to try my hand at the genre and took up fiction writing classes at a local community college.
I published my first MM romance book with eXtasy Books back in 2009. I always follow my muses wherever they take me, writing a mixture of paranormal, historical, and contemporary romances. I enjoy writing about men discovering themselves, overcoming obstacles, and finding love in the process, along with a happy ending.

My day job is in the high-tech industry, and I have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration. I currently live in the Phoenix, Arizona, metro area, but I have also lived in the Bay Area of California and grew up in Minnesota. When I’m not writing, I watch boys’ love dramas or create digital artwork. I’m also a mother of two young adult sons, whose antics keep me on my toes. My one-eyed rescue pug is always by my side, snoring the day away.
