In an effort to meet voter demand for a simple and easy voting experience, PointOfit.com launches VotCen, a free mobile application that will navigate Fort Bend County voters to their nearest voting poll location, provide candidate information, create a favorites list, set reminders and allow you to share your favorites with others.

VotCen, “Your Voting Assistant” is a user-friendly productivity mobile app developed to provide convenience and increase voter turnout in Fort Bend County’s November 2018 Midterm elections. The app is available for download on Apple and Android Marketplaces for free. In under 30 seconds VotCen will locate your three nearest voting polls and provide the directions.

HOW IT WORKS:

Step 1: Open VotCen app on your mobile device.
Step 2: Select the Voting Centers button. Your closest polling locations are revealed based on your current location.

The mobile app also provides a directory of candidates on the ballot in Fort Bend County and other useful features including a sharable favorites folder and a reminder setting so you wont forget to vote.

In 2018 VotCen will only be available for Fort Bend County, which is the fastest-growing county in the U.S. 2013-2016, current population 764,828 (U.S. Census Bureau, 2018). Plans to expand to over a 100 counties by 2020 are underway and you can request that your county be added next on the Votcen website.
