Lycan Detective Joshua Hart isn’t just good at his job—he’s the best. Despite his skills and the Fae magic that prevents him from lying, he has a terrible secret: he’s the last of the Harkers, an ancient family dedicated to the eradication of werewolves. When he’s summoned to Adler Springs to investigate a brutal murder, his mission couldn’t be simpler—until he makes the catastrophic mistake of sleeping with his Pack Liaison. Now they’re bonded. If Elijah dies, Josh dies too. And Josh was sent here to destroy Elijah’s entire pack.

For Elijah Bennet, being assigned as liaison to a Lycan Detective is no honor—it’s a punishment from an Alpha who despises him. He expects to be nothing more than furry wallpaper while the detective picks his pack apart. What he doesn’t expect is the prickly, gorgeous man underneath the reputation. Or the ancient bond that now ties their fates together. Elijah has spent his whole life avoiding leadership and entanglement. Now he’s shackled to the one man who could annihilate everything he loves—and he’s falling for him anyway.

Few stories captivate quite like Heart’s Betrayal, featuring Elijah and Joshua. This two-part narrative takes you on an unforgettable adventure filled with intricate relationships and exhilarating action. Delving into its characters’ lives, the book intertwines themes of love and conflict.

At the heart of this tale is the complicated relationship between Elijah, a werewolf who never wanted to be bonded, and Joshua, a lycan detective from a lineage notorious for hunting werewolves. This love/hate bond poses significant challenges as they navigate their feelings in secrecy. Their chemistry is palpable, portrayed with a blend of tension and tenderness.

This book doesn’t shy away from the intense action sequences and the brutal reality of their existence. Yet, it contrasts this violence with poignant moments that explore the depths of the characters’ emotions. As the first part concludes with a breathtaking cliffhanger, it masterfully sets the stage for an explosive continuation. While the abrupt ending may leave you hanging, the anticipation for part two, Heart’s Redemption, will not leave you hanging for long, as it is set to be released in a matter of days.
