Eli
Football is my future, and nothing can shake me until Wren Lewis shows up on the Spirit Squad. My high school boyfriend. The one I lost because I stayed silent when he needed me most. Now he’s back, flipping across my field, and I’ll do anything to prove I’ve changed. I’ve spent four years wishing I could undo that day. I’ll earn his trust back inch by inch. Flowers, apologies, and maybe a kiss I’ve been starving for since our senior year of high school.
Wren
I am running a few minutes late; my previous meeting is running over. I swore I’d never forgive him. One silence shattered us. Then fate sticks us on the same sidelines, the same flights, the same hotel lobbies. And he shows up with apologies I didn’t ask for…and a smile I never forgot. But Eli is relentless—bigger, steadier, and still looking at me like I’m his whole world. I want to resist. I need to. But one slow dance, one stolen touch, and my walls start to crumble. I crave the man who held me as if I were everything.
Few scenarios grip readers quite like the slow-burning relationship between old high school sweethearts. Filled with guilt and apologies, the chemistry between Eli and Wren takes center stage as they grapple with their past.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of this story is the supportive cast of friends who help Eli and Wren navigate their way back to each other. As both boys reflect on what went wrong, their friends encourage vulnerability and open communication, setting the stage for healing and reconciliation.
The subplot involving Wren’s father and a trust fund keeps readers on their toes. This mystery not only enhances the story’s depth but also reflects the complexities of family dynamics. The interconnectedness of love, trust, and familial obligation keeps you engaged throughout the ups and downs.
Ultimately, the story of Eli and Wren showcases the power of enduring297 love, proving that even after heartbreak, happiness can prevail. As they journey through their guilt and longing, the resolution offers a satisfying happy-ever-after, celebrating the beauty of second chances.
About The Author
Christie Gordon started writing gay and MM romance after accidentally finding Yaoi fanfiction and falling in love with it. I’ve always had stories in my head and enjoyed writing, so I decided to try my hand at the genre and took up fiction writing classes at a local community college.
I published my first MM romance book with eXtasy back in 2009. I always follow my muses wherever they take me, writing a mixture of paranormal, historical, and contemporary romances. I enjoy writing about men discovering themselves, overcoming obstacles, and finding love in the process, along with a happy ending.
My day job is in the high-tech industry, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. I currently live in the Phoenix, Arizona, metro area, but I have also lived in the Bay Area of California and grew up in Minnesota. When I’m not writing, I watch boys’ love dramas or create digital artwork. I’m also a mother of two young adult sons, whose antics keep me on my toes. My one-eyed rescue pug is always by my side, snoring the day away.
