In the summer of 1978, Troy Larson was filled with anticipation and confusion. The annual family vacation to a lake resort with his best friend is his favorite escape, but Jessie’s distant. When Troy stumbles onto his secret, he’s thrown into a storm of emotions he never expected.

Jessie Smith is spending his college years in New York learning to embrace his truth. He’s gay. Coming home means facing Troy, the one person who knows him best. When Jessie is exposed, it stirs terrifying and thrilling feelings simultaneously.

While Troy grapples with new emotions for his best friend, Jessie worries about the risks awaiting Troy if he continues the path of becoming a queer teacher. With the gay rights movement facing legal challenges from Save Our Children, can Troy convince Jessie to fight alongside him and face the consequences together?

Find Me in July is a symphony of nostalgia, heartache, and joy. This story beautifully dissects the trials of young love, with an engaging backdrop of late 70s music that will tug at your heartstrings. It’s not just a tale; it’s an experience that resonates deeply with anyone who’s ever felt the thrill of navigating true love.

Troy and Jessie take you from childhood friends to unexpected lovers. Their playful efforts to explore their intimate relationship are funny and sexy, making it impossible to put the book down!

Find Me in July doesn’t shy away from the serious themes of homophobia and the joy of acceptance. It reminds us that while heartache can be a part of love, embracing who we truly are leads to heartfelt moments of triumph. With Troy determined to fight for their happy-ever-after, this story isn’t just a love tale, it’s a celebration of authenticity and connection. This charming, humorous narrative will sweep you off your feet.

Christie Gordon PortraitAbout The Author

Christie Gordon started writing gay and MM romance books after accidentally finding Yaoi fanfiction and falling in love with it. I’ve always had stories in my head and enjoyed writing, so I decided to try my hand at the genre and took up fiction writing classes at a local community college.
I published my first MM romance book with eXtasy Books back in 2009. I always follow my muses wherever they take me, writing a mixture of paranormal, historical, and contemporary romances. I enjoy writing about men discovering themselves, overcoming obstacles, and finding love in the process, along with a happy ending.

My day job is in the high-tech industry, and I have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration. I currently live in the Phoenix, Arizona, metro area, but I have also lived in the Bay Area of California and grew up in Minnesota. When I’m not writing, I watch boys’ love dramas or create digital artwork. I’m also a mother of two young adult sons, whose antics keep me on my toes. My one-eyed rescue pug is always by my side, snoring the day away.
