As jury selection for the murder trial of Lawrence “Larry” King’s attacker, Brandon McInerney, is set to begin today in Ventura County, Calif., GLSEN is deeply saddened by the loss of two young lives to homophobia.

Full Page Variety Magazine Advertisement Calls on ABC and The View to Take Responsibility for Spreading Inaccurate Information about HIV/AIDS

In a full page ad running in today’s Variety Magazine, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) the Black AIDS Institute and the National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) call on the ABC Television Network and its popular morning program The View, to correct misinformation put forth on the June 22 edition of the show.

If you have not seen Dreamgirls on stage or at the movies you will need to turn in your gay card immediately.  Even if you have not seen the stage or movie version you know the music.  Whether you are a Gleek or have been to even just one drag show, you have heard the act one finale “And I am telling you, I’m not going.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) today praised NBC's decision to open the Today Show's "Modern Day Wedding" Contest to same-sex couples. This afternoon, after GLAAD met with NBC executives and shared our community's concerns, the network agreed to the changes.

Federal Court Declares Part of Defense of Marriage Act Unconstitutional

The Human Rights Campaign – the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization – today praised the decisions of Judge Joseph Tauro of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts in Gill v. Office of Personnel Management and Commonwealth of Massachusetts v. Department of Health and Human Services, declaring the denial of federal rights and benefits to lawfully married Massachusetts couples under the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) to be unconstitutional.
