The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) today called on the nationally syndicated Mike Gallagher Show, KXXT-AM in Tolleson, Arizona, and CFNY-FM, 102.1 "The Edge" in Toronto to rescind their offers to reward the Westboro Baptist Church with airtime.

Yesterday in an interview with the Winston-Salem Journal, North Carolina State Representative Larry Brown said “the government should not spend money to treat adults with HIV or AIDS who ‘caused it by the way they live.” According to the newspaper, he went on to say he thinks the government shouldn't spend money to treat HIV among people "living in perverted lifestyles."

Today New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed a landmark Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights into law.  The legislation, passed almost unanimously by both houses of the state legislature in November, is the toughest state anti-bullying law in the country.
