This gay week in sports fitness diva Jackie Warner returns for season three of Workout with new hunks JD Jordan and Greg Plitt; Mayor Ken Livingston refuses to help fund gay football world championships; Judo Champion Yvonne Boenisch is set to boycott the Olympic opening ceremonies; LOGO Online launches a documentary about a gay rugby league, and Jason Taylor shows his sexy side on Dancing with the Stars.

For two seasons, TV viewers have been privy to the inside dealings of the posh Sky Sport and Spa gym in Beverly Hills courtesy of Bravo.

Workout, which centers on lesbian fitness extraordinaire Jackie Warner, is back with a vengeance and a whole new crop of trainers. Already there is drama as the new cast members threaten to take control of the gym.

Resident alpha male Brain Peeler, who has had several run ins with Warner, now has competition for the hottest guy in the gym from male model Greg Plitt.

When he took off his shirt in the first episode, one of the trainers commented, "He looks like you should climb him."

While I’m sure that many of the overly sexual women will try to do just that, we can only hope that gay hottie JD Jordan will also gets in on the action. Gotta love the gym.

London will be playing host to this year’s International Gay & Lesbian Football Association World Championship, where 30 of the best teams from around the globe will converge to compete for top honors.

Unfortunately, mayor Ken Livingstone is not offering up any support for the event. According to the UK Gay News Livingstone has refused to allow funding for the tournament and will not sign a letter of support for the IGLFAWC’s grant application to the lottery fund.

This latest fund denial is an interesting turn of events given the fact that Livingstone has been crusader for gay rights in London. Many feel that with an election just around the corner, Livingstone may be distancing his self from the gay community in order to retain his position.

Gee, maybe Barack Obama is doing the same thing.

While many have expressed concerns over the upcoming Beijing Olympics, reigning judo champion Yvonne Boenisch has decided to take a stance.

This week, the gold medalist said she would be boycotting the opening ceremonies to protest China's recent crackdown on demonstrators in Tibet, and their notorious human rights violations.

She still, however, plans to compete, saying that a general boycott of the games would ruin thousands of athlete’s dreams.

China better stand up and take notice because as a tough-as-nails judo competitor, Boenisch could kick their ass.

LOGOOnline is premiering a 4-part documentary series about of a predominantly gay rugby team, the Chicago Dragons, who are playing in a straight league. With many off-color ball references and a lot of man-on-man action, the show is certain to receive a lot of attention, but the team’s ultimate goal is to actually win a game this season.

Everyone in New York is excited about the new Yankee Stadium.

Everyone, that is, except Gino Castignoli, who was hired as a construction worker on the project. As an avid Red Sox fan, Castignoli thought that he would seize the opportunity to curse the beloved New York team by placing a Red Sox jersey into the cement foundation of the structure.

The New York Post reported that the Yankee management team ordered an immediate excavation of the David Ortiz jersey, which was located behind what will be a restaurant in the stadium. It took the crew five hours  and cost several thousand dollars to retrieve the tattered shirt, which will now be auctioned off to benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Maybe next year the Chicago Cubs will spend thousands of dollars to herd goats into the stadium to help break their curse as well.

At 6’6”, 255 pounds, Miami Dolphin’s defensive end Jason Taylor is hardly the type of guy that you would expect to see on the dance floor, but since joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars, he has been showing off his softer side. As the 2006 NFL Defensive Player of the Year and the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner in 2007, Taylor has definitely proven himself on the field, but but when Sports Illustrated listed him as one of the 10 Best looking male athletes, his fans really began to take notice.

This week with sexy partner Edyta Sliwinska, Taylor showed some Latin flavor as he gyrated his hips to the Samba.

OK so he isn’t that great a dancer... but with that body and those teeth, who cares.

And finally, the NFL released the 2008 schedule and it’s a shocker. The NFL teams will play each other all season to find out which two are the best, and then they will meet each other at the Super bowl to determine the “world champions” even though only teams from the United States are playing. No way! Yes way!

If you need more information about this big news worthy occasion that has literally become the most searched topic on the internet, ESPN will be broadcasting two-hour special event show to talk about the schedule. Meanwhile, you could also just check local listings for air times.

Till next week, Blog Hard!
