It happens only once every four years, and it’s one of the most elaborately choreographed events in that time span. Rehearsals for the Opening Ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games are underway, and you can get your first look here.
The Huffington Post is reporting that a Korean television crew was inside Beijing’s Bird’s Nest Olympic Stadium rehearsing for the national broadcast of the Ceremonies. While there, a rogue camera crew secretly filmed a rehearsal of the Ceremony, which was taking place in the stadium.
Huff Po says the Korean station claims it is “the most magnificent, brilliant and mysterious” ceremony in the history of the Games. It also says the show features more than 10,000 performers performing various traditional Chinese dances and martial arts.
One mystery remains… how will the torch arrive?
