A former
Weather Channel anchorwoman has won an undisclosed settlement against her former co-anchor, a man her sexual harassment suit claims made repeated inquiries about her sex life and asked her questions like, ‘Will you lick my swizzle stick?'
Back in January, an arbitrator ruled that
Bob Stokes, 50, had subjected 38-year-old
Hillary Andrews to “severe and pervasive” sexual harassment he considered to be “extreme and offensive,” according to the
The New York Post.
Andrews left the cable channel in 2006 for a temp post at
CNN. Though calls from
The Post questioning the monetary amount Andrews received went unreturned, court papers say Stokes was fired directly following the ruling in the suit.
Sexual-harassment suits in the news room are among the most commonly filed and, according to lawyers for Andrews, sometimes the toughest to prove.
Calls from comment from either party’s lawyer and from the Weather Channel went unreturned.
