Gay Games Chicago Releases Commemorative Photo Album
The Gay Games VII—which took place in Chicago last year—turned out to be one of the biggest and best events so far, and if you just can’t get enough of them, there is good news for you. The Windy City Media Group has put together commemorative photo album that captures the Gay Games in all its glory.

Chicago Gay Games Announced as a Financial Success
Following the trend that had been set by the previous three events, it looked as though despite all the efforts to pull off the large scale gay and lesbian sporting festival again it was going to end with a huge deficit. But after several post games fundraisers, Chicago Games Inc. who sponsored the event, announced this week that the Chicago Gay Games were, in fact, a success.

Calgary Gets a Gay Face Lift With OutGames
Gay sports is taking hold in a big way, and the number of events dedicated to providing the opportunity for gay athletes to prove their skills is constantly growing. This year the GLISA which organized the first ever world OutGames in Montreal in 2006 have created a new venue that is of a smaller scale so that athletes will not have to wait until Copenhagen in 2009. The Event featured sporting events, speeches from community activists and a performance by Lily Tomlin.

The Unsinkable Gay Games
Every year there have been detractors and financial problems which have plagued the Gay Games, and yet the spirit of comoradory and sportsmanship has allowed it to grow. There is much talk about the good that is brought about by the largest gay sporting competition ever, but the road has been hard fought, and in order to improve on each event, it is necessary to remember the problems which it has faced.

Judge Denies Motion to Dismiss Charges in Gay Games Protest Lawsuit
Federal Judge Milton I. Shadur, US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, has denied a motion from the city of Chicago to dismiss charges that it violated the First Amendment rights of anti-gay protestors during the Chicago 2006 Gay Games earlier this year.Dec 20, 2006

Chicago Gay Games Releases Commemorative DVD
In an effort to make up the deficit, and just in time for the holiday season, the organizers of the 2006 Gay Games in Chicago have released a feature-length DVD with more than two hours of coverage from the July sports & cultural festival. Powerlifter Chris Morgan Thanks Gay Games for His Success
At the recent World Drug Free Powerlifting Championships, held in Kinsale, Ireland, British competitor Chris Morgan showed he still has what it takes to excel in the sport and stood on the podium earning a bronze medal to add to his growing collection of honors. Chicago Drops Case Against Gay Games Protestor
During the closing ceremonies of the 2006 Gay Games earlier this year, Michael Marcavage was standing outside Wrigley Field with a sign proclaiming a biblical message about homosexuality in protest against the Games. This month, the day the case was supposed to go to trial, prosecutors decided to drop the charges stating because no witnesses were willing to come to court to pursue the charges.Nov 10, 2006
