Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick doesn't support equal rights for gays because marriage should be a sacred institution between "a man and a woman." Yet, he's now made headlines for being caught redhanded in a second extramarital affair with a woman identified as Carmen Slowsky.

According to The Detroit News, the embattled Mayor spent last weekend in a luxury resort with Slowsky, driking champagne, soaking in a hot tub and getting massages. Kilpatrick is married to someone else and has recently been lambasted for lying about an affair with his chief of staff Christine Beatty, who was also married at the time of their affair.

The news of Kilpatrick's latest tryst came from investigative reporter Steve Wilson of WXYZ-TV. According to his sources, Kilpatrick was at the resort with a woman who identified herself as Carmen Slowsky (or Slowski depending on the media source). The woman was, reportedly, definately not his wife.

The manager of the Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa refused to comment on the rumor, saying she could not "divulge any information," according to The Detroit News.

Kilpatrick is already under fire and could face felony perjury charges for lying about an affair with his chief of staff Christine Beatty. Kilpatrick and Beatty were both married, to other people, at the time of the affair.

Kilpatrick and Beatty both denied they were in a sexual relationship during court case last August. New records brought to light, however, show Kilpatrick and Beatty exchanging romantic text messages with each other.

The text messages were found by the Detroit Free Press as part of an investigation into the firing of Detroit Deputy Police Chief Gary Brown in 2003. Brown sued over the termination, claiming Kilpatrick was retaliating against them for an investigation of the mayor's security team, according to USA Today.

In the suit, Kilpatrick ad former officer Harold Nelthrope charged Kilpatrick fired them because the investigation might have revealed the affair between him and Beatty.
