The massive rock
Mariah Carey has been flashing recently is more than engagement ring from boyfriend
Nick Cannon. It’s now a wedding ring since the couple reportedly got married on a secluded island Wednesday.
Carey and Cannon’s whirlwind romance didn’t last long before the pair decided to tie the knot before a small crowd of invited guests,
Latina Magazine reported.
Rapper
Da Brat was one of the few guests in attendance at, what a source told
Latina Magazine, was a “very impulsive,” ceremony.
Before the ink could dry on
Access Hollywood’s announcement this week that the pair had gotten engaged after just a month of dating, Carey, 38, and Cannon, 27, were already headed down the aisle.
It’s very “hot and heavy,” a source told
Us Weekly regarding the sudden engagement.
Long-time pals, Carey and rapper and actor Cannon really hit it off when he directed the video for her latest single, “Bye, Bye,” in late March.
Carey told
Us Weekly it was "very nice" to work with Cannon, who, when asked what he loved about the singer, exclaimed, "Everything!"
But word of the romance didn’t gain traction until Cannon attended the premiere of Carey’s film,
Tennessee, on April 26.
Carey’s marriage to Cannon is her second. The songstress was previously married to music mogul
Tommy Mottola early in her career and they divorced in 1998.
