Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan’s questionable affair with disc jockey Samantha Ronson is not her first lesbian tryst. While battling drugs and alcohol problems, Lohan was allegedly engaged in a love triangle with Ronson and socialite Courtenay Semel, Perez Hilton reported.
"Everyone thinks Samantha is Lindsay’s first lesbian love, but we were very passionate until her fear of being found out drove us apart. At the time she was terrified her career would be over if she revealed her sexual tendencies. But then Samantha came on to the scene and I was dropped,” Courtenay revealed to a friend, reported the UK’s The News of the World.
Lohan and Semel, daughter of Yahoo CEO Terry Semel, met a Malibu beach party in 2006. Throughout that year the pair dated on and off in between Lohan’s trysts with men and her stint in rehab, according to Perez.
“From the start Lindsay was very confused about her feelings for Courtenay so did more and more drugs to stifle the sexual attraction she was experiencing. But eventually she just gave in and at every party they’d kiss and touch each other in the corner. It’s a miracle nobody found out. Both of them would do lines of cocaine in the toilets then head home and fall into bed together,” Semel’s friend told News of the World.
The friend revealed that Lohan allegedly bedded a string of men in an attempt to suppress her lesbian tendencies around the same time her drug and alcohol addiction spiraled out of control.
Lohan and Semel rented a house together in the Hollywood Hills in October of 2007 but the following month, Ronson entered the picture. But, Lohan and Ronson weren’t engaged in a physical relationship initially, Perez reported.
At one point, Ronson and Semel were separately visiting Lohan during her stint at Promises rehab facility in Malibu, Semel’s friend alleged. Lohan supposedly began sending love notes to Ronson and signed “Lindsay Ronson” meanwhile telling Semel that she loved her.
When Lohan allegedly had one fling to many with another man, Semel moved out of their rented home in December 2007. A week later, Lohan and Ronson became inseparable.
Over the past several months, Lohan and Ronson have been repeatedly spotted together, sometimes hugging and kissing. The couple has neither confirmed nor denied their relationship, although Ronson’s brother Mark Ronson and Lohan’s father Michael Lohan have both commented on the lesbian nature of the relationship.
“Courtenay still can’t understand how Lindsay is now so open with Samantha. Every time she sees a picture of them together it kills her,” Semel’s friend told the News of the World.
