I first discovered Dame Edna Everage the international housewife, therapist, gigastar, guru and celebrity confidant back in 90’Äôs when she had a brief stint as a talk show host on a monthly show on NBC. I knew then that I was in the presence of greatness. Back then the Dame was only a megastar, but as she will tell you today she is a gigastar. How things have changed. She has been called the funniest person alive by Rolling Stone Magazine and they are right.

Catching Up with . . . Alison Moyet
I have been a great fan of Alison Moyet for more years than I would care to admit. I have dreamed of seeing her live as long as I can remember. I have seen her perform on You Tube, but it has always been a dream the day I would actually be there in the hall experiencing Alison Moyet. If you are not familiar with Alison, she together with Vince Clarke were Yazoo. They together created electonica. They went their separate ways before their second album was even released.

Catching up with’ĶRue McClanahan
I have to admit I am a Golden Girls addict. I have the DVD’Äôs. I watch the show on TV almost daily. I love Rue McClanahan. Blanche Devereaux is in my opinion one of the top five funniest TV characters in television history. I was thrilled to hear that she was a part of the cast of Del Shores latest project: Sordid Lives: The Series. The cast of the newest project for MTV’Äôs LOGO channel is a dream and the show is everything that you could hope it to be.

I love talking to Leslie Jordan. He is by far the easiest and most fun
interview I have done. I say hello and don’Äôt even have to ask a
question and he is off and running. For the next thirty-five minutes I
feel as if I am getting my own private performance of My Trip Down the
Pink Carpet the title of both his new autobiography and one man show,
both coming to Texas in the next few weeks. I have seen his two
previous solo outings on the stage, and if you have not, you do not
know what you are missing.

Catching Up with…Victoria Foyt
When I got the screener for Going Shopping Victoria Foyt was not the name that made me want to rush to the DVD Player and pop it in. It was Bruce Davidson, Lee Grant, and for obvious reasons Rob Morrow. I have been a huge fan of Bruce Davidson since his amazing work in Longtime Companion, Lee Grant is just old school fabulous, and she has worked with David Lynch, and Rob Morrow, well, I could watch him eat butter. While it was not the name Victoria Foyt that got me to put in this DVD, she is the reason that it stayed in. She is the great thread that runs through this film, tying all of the characters together, but more importantly her performance as a mother who keeps it together while seemingly the world around her is spinning out of control, is real.

What can I say that hasn’t been said about the man that brought us
Divine and Edith Massey. I have been a huge fan of John Waters
since seeing Polyester, a film in which Divine plays an overly
religious housewife married to the owner of a porn theater.
Massey plays her best friend, who always tries to calm down the overstressed Francine (Divine) with shopping and “Hooch”. If you
have not seen this film, it is a must! It is a perfect example of
the Water’s mind, the one I love, the one that is just left of
sanity. It is Water’s in his truest form, before Mainstream
success, before he had a show on Broadway. It is with his new
Valentine’s Day CD, A Date With John Waters that I see that crazy John
Waters again. The music in this brilliant collection is the music
