It was a sad day for the adult industry with the announcement yesterday that stunning Colt model and cover boy
Danny Roddick passed away this weekend.
Roddick, whose real name has not yet been released, began in the industry as a Buckshot exclusive in 2005. In his short career, he made 4 films for the Buckshot line of films, a subsidiary of the COLT Studio Group, and had recently completed work on the new production
Brotherhood, directed by award winning legendary director
Jerry Douglas.
Named after his resemblance to tennis star
Andy Roddick, Danny’s perfect body and inviting smile made him a fan favorite, and he recently served as a trophy boy and presenter at the 2007 Grabby Awards held in Chicago.
In a press release about the tragic death, director
Kristofer Weston, who had worked with Roddick on his first film
Hard Studies, said: “He was one of the most caring and sensitive people I’ve ever had the privilege of working with on set. A truly beautiful man inside and out and I’m honored to have called him a friend.”
While no official word has been made about the exact cause of death, industry insiders believe that it may have been caused by an overdose of prescription pills.
“We are devastated and saddened by this tragedy,” said President and Creative Director
John Rutherford. “We have watched Danny grow up and everyone here at COLT Studio Group extends our most heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.”
COLT Studio Group, which is known for its exceptional treatment of performers and for creating a family-like atmosphere for its talent, is in the process of establishing a fund where a portion of sales will be donated to a LGBT nonprofit organization in Danny’s name.
Danny passed away in his home in Sacramento.
