Skimpy Prom Dress Lands Houston Teen Marche Taylor Behind Bars
Upon seeing her handmade prom dress, school officials gave Houston teen Marche Taylor a choice—go home or go to jail. She chose jail. According to Houston news station KHOU-TV, Taylor arrived at the prom in a skimpy gold top and mini skirt only to be told by a chaperone she would not be allowed inside because she was showing way too much skin.

Isaiah Washington: 'ABC Fired The Wrong Guy'
Actor Isaiah Washington, fired this month from 'Grey's Anatomy' after the months-long controversy he incited by using an anti-gay slur, claims ABC " fired the wrong guy." In an interview with the Houston Chronicle, Washington blames former cast mate T.R. Knight for stoking the scandal that led him to lose his role in the ABC hit. Knight is the one who should have been let go, he told the newspaper.

The 22nd Annual Heights Fun Run
The 22nd Annual Heights Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 2007. Start time for runners participating in the sanctioned race will begin at 7:30 AM. Walkers will start at 7:35 AM and the Kids 1K follows at 8:30 AM. The course starts at Heights Blvd. @ 18th. Street heading South, turning around at 5th Street and heading north on Heights Blvd. Stopping point for all participants is Marmion Park where the post race party will begin. Plan to celebrate with food, juice and music while awards are announced and door prizes are given!

Houston: Murdered Gay Man's Mother Braces For Killers' Release
Two men in prison for the vicious 1991 murder of Houston gay man will soon be paroled, and that has the victim’s mother worried. Nancy Rodriguez’ son Paul Broussard, 27, was brutally gang beaten and stabbed outside a nightclub in 1991. The hate crime shocked the city's gay and lesbian community and underscored the vulnerability of sexual minorities to such attacks.
