Upon seeing her handmade prom dress, school officials gave Houston teen Marche Taylor a choice—go home or go to jail.

She chose jail.

According to Houston news station KHOU-TV, Taylor arrived at the prom in a skimpy gold top and mini skirt only to be told by a chaperone she would not be allowed inside because she was showing way too much skin.

“She shook her head, she was like ‘you are not getting into this prom,’” Taylor told the news station. “We were arguing back and forth because I wanted to know why I can’t get into my prom.”

According to USA Today, things got so heated, a school official called the cops, who escorted the teen out of the building in handcuffs.

“It was revealing in such nature it was not appropriate for the prom,” Madison High School Principal Aubrey Todd told the newspaper.
