Announced late last year, Air New Zealand’s 14-hour overnight flight to one of the most anticipated events on the annual gay circuit, will feature an in-flight stand-up comedy performance by Griffin, live performances by drag divas, on-board party music, as well as contests and classic gay-themed film screenings.

Additionally, passengers will enjoy specially designed Air New Zealand cuisine with a Pink Twist, Pink cocktails, goodie bags and a 'Party Wake-Up' before landing, according to Air New Zealand's vice president Roger Poulton.  

"This will be a total flying experience that you will rave about for many years to come," said Kiwi diva Buckwheat according to GayNZ.com. "We are friendly and fun and will deliver you the truly Kiwi experience which we has been shared internationally many times over. Nothing is too much trouble for us, and the execution of all our duties will be delivered with the utmost of charm, poise, wit and elegance."  

Buckwheat continued on to say that the Auckland to Sydney Pink Flight is a party that starts as soon as you arrive at the boarding gate. "There'll be a VIP pink check-in counter at Auckland Airport, a gate lounge party with pink cocktails, nibbles and entertainment, plus lots of goodies and give-aways in-flight. Passengers also get a VIP Q-jump entry to Sydney's Stonewall Bar on Friday & Sunday night with a cocktail on arrival and a discount on drinks over the entire weekend."  

So far the Air New Zealand Pink Flight from Auckland to Sydney is almost sold out. Premier Economy seats are all taken, but there are still 51 seats in Pacific Economy available on the 210-seater flight, according to published reports.
