It seems like just days ago that 19-year-old Toronto Maple Leaf forward
Jiri Tlusty thrust himself into the media spotlight when controversial nude photos began making the rounds on the web. Now, Wake Forest quarterback
Riley Skinner seems to want in on the action as pictures of the hunky 21-year old began popping up and causing some stir among school officials this week.
Skinner, the 2006 Rookie of the Year, has been making quite a name for himself since he was red shirted for the Demon Deacons two seasons ago. He led the team to their first conference championship since 1970 and broke ten school records for passing percentages during his first year of play.
Last week, naked photos were sent to
WithLeather.com from an apparently concerned fan who wrote that "the egotistical Riley has been photographing himself naked and selling his pictures."
A representative from the Wake Forest Athletic Department told
WFMY News "he doubts the photos are authentic, but the department is looking for answers."
Earlier in the week, the
Associated Press reported that Wake Forest reserve running back
Luke Caparelli had been dismissed from the team after writing on his Facebook page that he would "blow up campus."
Caparelli admitted to writing the note, which included a threat that he would have an Uzi submachine gun "locked and loaded in his bag." Police found no weapons on the teen when they searched his dorm room.
